| Piercing Aftercare Tips: |
| The last thing you want to happen to your new piercing is for it to become infected. Following these instructions will aid in the prevention of that happening, and make your piercing experience a good one! Piercing Aftercare Tips: 1. Do not touch the body piercing. Also, don't let anyone else touch, kiss or lick the body piercing. 2. Do not take it off. Body piercing may take many months to years to completely heal, changing or removing jewelry should be avoided during that time. 3. Do not let the body piercing come in contact with another person's bodily fluids. 4. Never use Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide or hand soap because they may damage healthy cells and cause scar tissue. Petroleum jelly is also not recommended for aftercare, as it can collect and promote the growth of bacteria. 5. Avoid hot tubs and public pools during the healing process. If you must swim, cover with a waterproof bandage. 6. Reduce intake of alcohol, drugs, caffeine, and aspirin during the initial healing period. 7. Avoid smoking, chewing tobacco and eating spicy foods for oral piercings. 8. Avoid direct sunlight or tanning beds for a few weeks. Definitely avoid tanning oils, lotions and sand. 9. Avoid tight fitting clothes which might irritate a new body piercing. 10. Change your bedsheets at least once a week. 11. While using H2Ocean, do not use any other aftercare products during the healing process. Piercing Aftercare Directions: H2Ocean Piercing Spray: Just spray 3 to 6 times per day or as needed to the desired skin area. For best results, spray on skin area and let the solution completely dry. Do not wipe it off. The 360 degree non-aerosol dry-mist sprayer is ozone friendly and the formula remains sterile from start to finish. Arctic Ocean Rinse: Squirt a small amount of Arctic Ocean Rinse in mouth, vigorously swish for at least 30 seconds. Repeat two times a day for a cleaner healthier mouth. Use as needed after eating, smoking or brushing. Keloids are firm, rubbery lesions, reddish or darkly colored, or shiny, hard pink-dome shaped lumps. They can result from injury to the skin or may form spontaneously. They often grow, and although harmless, non-contagious, and usually non-painful, they can be a cosmetic problem. Infections An infection is the detrimental colonization of a host organism by a foreign species. The colonizing organism interferes with the normal functioning and perhaps the survival of the host. The infecting organism is referred to as a pathogen, which may be bacterial, a parasite, fungal, or a virus, prion or viroid. The scientific study of diseases in medicine caused by biological agents is infectious diseases. To identify an infection look for darkened areas around the piercing (red, blue, purple, black, green). Infections also can be painful and start forming a puss stage(pimple-like). |
